To swear by Allah even if I were telling a lie is dearer to me than to swear by other than Him even if I were telling the truth

Ibn Abi Shaybah - ‘Abdur-Razzaaq · Authentic hadith

عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: "لأن أحلف بالله كاذبًا أحب إليَّ من أن أحلف بغيره صادقًا".

“‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "To swear by Allah even if I were telling a lie is dearer to me than to swear by other than Him even if I were telling the truth."”
