ONE HADITH A DAY

Had it not been that I might overburden the believers—or my Ummah—I would have commanded them to use the Siwāk (toothstick) at every prayer

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ -أَوْ: عَلَى أُمَّتِي- لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ».

“Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had it not been that I might overburden the believers—or my Ummah—I would have commanded them to use the Siwāk (toothstick) at every prayer."”
