ONE HADITH A DAY

The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember His Lord is like the example of the living and the dead person

عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لاَ يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ، مَثَلُ الحَيِّ وَالمَيِّتِ»، ولفظ مسلم: «مَثَلُ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي يُذْكَرُ اللهُ فِيهِ، وَالْبَيْتِ الَّذِي لَا يُذْكَرُ اللهُ فِيهِ، مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ».

“Abu Mūsa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember His Lord is like the example of the living and the dead person." The wording of Muslim reads: "The example of the house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered is like the example of the living and the dead person."”
