ONE HADITH A DAY

عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ أَخِي بَنِي مُجَاشِعٍ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه قَالَ: قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ خَطِيبًا، فَقَالَ: وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ: «وَإِنَّ اللهَ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لَا يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا يَبْغِي أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ».
“‘Iyād ibn Himār, the brother of Bani Mujāshi‘ (may Allah be pleased with him), reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us one day and delivered a sermon, in which he said: and then he narrated the Hadīth that includes: "And verily, Allah revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one boasts of oneself before another or oppresses another."”
