ONE HADITH A DAY

A man said: O Messenger of Allah, when a man amongst us meets a brother or a friend, should he bow to him? He said: No. He said: Should he embrace and kiss him? He said: No. He said: Should he take his hand and shake it? He said: Yes

Narrated by At-Termedhy - Narrated by Ahmad · Good hadith

عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رجلٌ: يا رسول الله، الرجلُ مِنّا يَلقى أخاه، أو صديقَه، أَيَنْحَني له؟ قال: «لا»، قال: أَفَيَلْتَزِمُهُ ويُقبِّلُهُ؟ قال: «لا» قال: فيأخذ بيده ويصافحُهُ؟ قال: «نعم».

“Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, when a man amongst us meets a brother or a friend, should he bow to him?" He said: ‘No.’ He said: "Should he embrace and kiss him?" He said: ‘No.’ He said: "Should he take his hand and shake it?" He said: ‘Yes.’””
