ONE HADITH A DAY

Indeed, the dearest of your names to Allah is ‘Abdullah and ‘Abdur-Rahmān

Narrated by Muslim · Authentic

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهما قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَحَبَّ أَسْمَائِكُمْ إِلَى اللهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ».

“Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the dearest of your names to Allah is ‘Abdullah and ‘Abdur-Rahmān."”
