22 hadith

• The greater the tribulation, the greater the reward. When Allah loves people, He tests them. So whoever who is content, for him is content; and whoever is discontent, for him is discontent
• If Allah wills good for someone, He makes him suffer from afflictions
• The believer, man or woman, will continue to be tested concerning his or her self, children, and property until they meet Allah without any sins in their record
• He is not one of us who slaps the cheeks, splits the collars, and calls out with the calls of Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islamic era of ignorance)
• No one, or nothing, is more patient about the offensive statements he hears than Allah. Verily, they ascribe a son to Him, yet He still grants them good health and sustenance
• If you wish, be patient and you will enter Paradise; or, if you wish, I will supplicate Allah to cure you
• May Allah have mercy upon Mūsa! He was hurt more than this but remained patient
• Indeed you possess two traits that Allah loves: prudence and deliberation
• Among the matters in respect of which we gave the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) the pledge not to disobey him in any goodness was that we should not scratch our faces, bewail, tear our clothes up, or dishevel our hair (in grief)
• I am concerned about your [my wives] lives and affairs after my death. None will be forbearing towards you (provide for you), except the patient ones
• It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves with a trial close to that of the Anti-Christ
• No Muslim is afflicted with a calamity and then says what Allah has commanded: {We belong to Allah, and to Him we will return} [Surat al-Baqarah: 156], O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it for me with something better, except that Allah replaces it for him with something better
• Verily, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed the Sāliqah (wailing woman), the Hāliqah (shaving woman), and the Shāqqah (woman tearing garment)
• If only you relied on Allah the way you should, He would provide for you as He provides for birds; they set out hungry in the morning and return satiated in the evening
• Allah, the Exalted, says: "My reward shall be nothing less than Paradise for My faithful servant who, if I take the life of his beloved one from the inhabitants of the world, he bears it patiently in expectation of My reward."
• Whoever says (upon leaving his house) "In the name of Allah; I rely on Allah; there is no might and no power save in Allah", it will be said to him: "You are guided, sufficed, and protected", and the devil will go far away from him
• Anyone in an area afflicted with plague who stays therein patiently hoping for Allah's reward and believing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has foreordained for him will get a reward similar to that of a martyr
• You will experience favoritism after me, so have patience until you meet me at the Basin
• The wealth of a man will not diminish by charity; Allah augments the honor of a man who endures an oppression patiently; and he who opens a gate of begging, Allah opens a gate of poverty
• Seek refuge with Allah from arduous afflictions, degrading misery, preordained evils, and from the gloating of enemies
• O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, in You I have put my trust, to You I have turned in repentance, and for You I have argued. O Allah, I seek refuge with Your power, there is no god but You, that You lead me astray. You are the Ever Living, the One who never dies, whereas the human beings and jinn will all die
• Among those who were before you, there was a man who had an injury. He was impatient, so he took a knife and made a cut in his hand and bled to death. Allah Almighty said: My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise for him
